Heritage Rainforests

The
Wet Tropics World Heritage Site, incorporates 19 national parks,
31 state forests, five timber reserves and one Aboriginal and
Islander reserve and Aboriginal and Islander reserves. They
have been managed by the Queensland National Parks and Wildlife
Service since its inception in 1975. The reserve was originally
created in 1892 and inscribed on the World Heritage List in
